Hofstra Law School designed the American Legal Studies LL.M. program for lawyers trained outside of the United States who want to advance their careers. The LL.M. program meets the needs of lawyers who either wish to practice law in the United States or return to their home countries. Hofstra's one year full-time LL.M. program trains students to handle the increasing internationalization of legal practice and navigate transactions involving the laws of multiple nations. This program also qualifies students to sit for the New York bar examination and become licensed attorneys. Scholarships are available and awarded to qualified applicants accepted into the program.
